Quilting Bee Blocks

Well, I took the plunge and joined 2 quilting bees for 2010. My 1st ever and my 2nd, too...I just couldn't stop at one. The 1st is the Coast to Coast Block Party....of course I made my blocks, but forgot to take a picture, so they'll have to wait till Katie gets time to post the pictures. The 2nd group is the Scraptastic Quilting Bee , Jenna sent us Alexander Henry Stalling pink fabric as the focus fabric and we were to add to it using our scraps/stash. She requested log cabin blocks, varying widths, but no wonky blocks...12x12 is the finished size. Here's what I did[notice this time I remembered to take photos:)...I guess working 2 jobs has made me forgetful].Focus fabric is the center square with the birds

On the quilting front I'm in the middle of quilting my Xmas quilt...still have one more row and the borders to quilt, then binding to make and sew on. I'm off my "day" job on monday, so maybe I'll get to work on it then. I still have the ORB #4 quilt in the sewing process, need to make the string blocks before I can play with putting it together. I've also got my circle quilt top finished, need to buy some more basting spray so it can go into the quilting'd think since I now work part time at Joann's I'd already have a can purchased, but I keep forgetting to pick one up, plus all my spare cash has been going to buying more FABRIC! Hopefully, I'll have some more photos to show the next time I post and they'll be of finished quilts.

Have A Great Day!
